They displace the abdominal organs in their neighborhood ventrally. Enlarged lymph nodes may present as intraabdominal masses in other locations (Fig. 2-2A-E). Ultrasonography Ultrasonography is useful in confirming the clinicalor radiologic diagnosis of an abdominal mass.
